Inventory
Inventory will be designed to track your devices and accessories to be sure that they are not lost or stolen. The delivery of your devices will be facilitated by Apple. All new devices will be listed on a spreadsheet that will be delivered to the school on the day of deployment, with their asset tag and their serial number. Once the Apple deployment team has placed the iPads into their cases, they become the responsibility of the school. At this point it becomes important to issue devices to a cart or student and track them.
The instance may arise where a device is lost or stolen. The MDM will tell us if the device is still within the school. If the device cannot be found, the next step is to contact IT to see is a more exact location can be discovered. This is done by identifying the wireless access point to which the device is connected. If after these avenues are exhausted or your investigation points to theft, a police report will need to be filed.
* While there will be many more iPads within your school, the process you have followed for lost and stolen equipment can remain the same.
* School Media Specialists will need to maintain the inventory of devices, charging bricks, and keyboards on this spreadsheet.
* When additional technology related purchases come into a school, they should be sent to Media Specialists so they can be inventoried on the spreadsheet.
Your school's spreadsheet should be shared in Google with Jim Corns at [email protected] .

Vandalism will be handled in the same way as all other forms of school vandalism. A vandalism report will be submitted to Arnold Hammann and a price assessment will be returned to the school. Discipline should follow the student handbook guidelines.
